M I K E Y - M I G H T - G O . . .

..a collection of events coming up on Oahu that sound interesting to me. Since I'm scouring various on-line calendars anyway (now that the Honolulu Weekly has died) those of you who have similar interests to mine can visit this page and save yourself some time. If you know about events you think I'd be interested in, please add text and URL's using the "comments" link at the bottom of the page. Please do NOT ask me about any of the events - all the info I have is here! Enter your eMail address in the "FOLLOW BY eMAIL" box at the bottom of the page, and you will automatically receive the initial MIKEY MIGHT GO... when it is is published each week (likely on Monday or Tuesday.) Since the listings will be revised as others contribute, you may wish to check here periodically for updates.

Thanks for visiting... and maybe I'll see you there!

La Mariana Sailing Club - "If you're over 50, and too good for karaoke, this is where you end up." Blind piano player Ron Miyashiro played at the legendary Tahitian Lanai and has a vast repertoire.  Like a magnet, he attracts singing talent that's amateur only in the sense that it's unpaid. It's almost unnerving the first time someone solos, and from the tables all around the room rise perfectly layered harmonies and soprano glissandos. La Mariana is so old-fashioned it's cool again. 50 Sand Island Access Rd., 848-2800 - call for reservations 'cause the place is packed every Thursday. http://greateatshawaii.blogspot.com/2013/06/la-mariana-sailing-club.html
